Goal: Help children identify and understand different emotions through movement and play.

What You’ll Need:

  • Use our Emotion cards or pictures of different emotions (happy, sad, angry, excited, nervous, etc.)

  • A small box or bag to act as a "treasure chest"

Activity Steps:

  1. Hide the Emotion Cards: Place the cards around the house or backyard.

  2. Hunt for Emotions: Encourage your child to find and collect all the emotion cards.

  3. Talk About It: Each time they find a card, ask them:

    • Can you make a face that shows this feeling?

    • When have you felt this way?

    • What helps you when you feel this emotion?

  4. Bonus Challenge: Have your child act out a situation where they might feel the emotion on the card!

Parent Tip: This activity helps children recognise emotions hands-on while building confidence in talking about their feelings.
